*UPDATED*

WCGS Team Concession Staffing

As of Spring 2008

Team Concession Stand Staffing Process
Concession operations are the primary means of raising funds for our Association. Those funds help pay for umpires and score keepers and enable us to procure equipment necessary for games and the operation of our park. Your cooperation in ensuring that each parent works the Full shift for which it is responsible will help us keep costs down and registration fees low.

1. During registration a separate $50 refundable per player concession deposit will be required. If two players then $100, three then $150, etc.

2. The fee applies to all Slow Pitch and Fast Pitch Rec and Travel team players.

Team Concession Stand Requirement
1. One parent or legal guardian representing every player on the team is required to staff the concession stand during one (1) entire assigned team shift (usually a total of about 4 hours).

2. In addition, for safety and liability concerns at no time will children under the age of 18 be allowed inside the concession stand.

3. Parents are required to help with set-up and shut down of the concession stand.

4. All parent workers must sign in and out of a staffing log at the start and end of their assigned shift at the applicable upper (located at fields 1-5) or lower (located at fields 6-8) concession stand.

5. A WCGS board member will assist with each shifts’ concession operations.

6. No make-up dates will be available.

Concession Deposit Refund Policy **NEW**
Individual parent deposit checks will be returned as follows:

1. Concession checks will be NOT be returned, but instead destroyed by the WCGS Board Treasurer for all parents fulfilling the entire shift assigned.

2. If any parent does not serve the entire team shift they will forfeit their refund and WCGS will cash those checks and deposit the money into the WCGS General Fund.

a. The WCGS Treasurer will notify by email or phone, at the conclusion of the season ending tournament, any parent whose concession check was deposited in the WCGS bank account for failure to fulfill their assigned concession shift.

b. If any parent would rather receive their actual deposit check via mail (instead if it being destroyed) then an email must be sent to the WCGS Board Treasurer (email found by selecting name at the “Board of Directors” link at the WCGS home page) for request/validation.

c. Any parent who paid cash for their concession deposit at the time of registration and is due a refund will receive a WCGS check in the mail no later than the end of May of the current Spring season.

3. The WCGS Concession Board Member on duty may, at his/her discretion, ask some of the team parents to staff the other WCGS concession stand when operational.
